The Safari theme for the Spring Summer collection launch at Bannan Republic on Regents Street was a true spectacle to behold. Minki Balinki's passion for creating animals shone through in their unique approach this time around - using a slot together method to craft life-size creatures. The choice of recycled cardboard, with its earthy yet crisp white finish, provided a striking contrast to the deep purple tones selected by the in-house design team.
Employing the slot together technique not only allowed for the animals to be partially assembled off-site but also facilitated their seamless installation within the window display space. The sheer size and weight of the Elephant posed a challenge, requiring the use of hand jacks to carefully position its body onto its legs within the window. As for the majestic 4m tall giraffes, they were elegantly placed in a trough of sand, surrounded by lush grassland grasses to enhance the safari ambiance within Bannan Republic's flagship store on Regents Street in London. The attention to detail and creativity in bringing these larger-than-life animals to life truly made this collection launch a memorable and immersive experience for all who visited.
