Creating external installations is always a delightful project for us to undertake. Designing and constructing this charming cottage at Bicester Village as part of their summer program was a unique and exciting opportunity. We sourced stone cladding in a beautiful sandstone from Italy, and enlisted the skills of a thatcher to construct the roof using traditional techniques. To ensure a vibrant display of flowers throughout the summer, we opted for a combination of real and artificial planting. The addition of reclaimed vintage doors and boxes overflowing with fragrant herbs added a touch of rustic charm to the overall look. The finishing touch of a slate Bicester Cotswold cottage facade truly brought the entire installation together.
