Selfridges - Fred Butler

Working with Artists is so rewarding taking their designs, helping then to create thier vision with in a commercial retail environment is so fulfilling. For this project we were asked by Selfridges to work alongside the wonderfully creative Fred Butler. Famous for her work with paper and found objects, Fred and team created the oversized birds in colourful paper and minki balinki provided the surrounding environment. Working with found object that we use every day is super fun and on this project we really embraced this. The studio set about creating many different flora fun flowers with pin wheels, straws, folks, sponges and fishing floats. Larger tree like florals where created from brightly coloured brushes and dusters, while vines spiralling through the air where created from hosepipe, pegs and spray bottles. Over 1,00 sponges created the chequered floor for this crazy mystical garden to sit on.
