Working closely with concept designer Kate Henderson, who was commissioned to create a captivating window display within the Museum store to complement the Yohji Yamamoto Exhibition, we were tasked with crafting skirts to be worn by mannequins adorned with prints from the featured collections.
Kate's vision called for skirts with a significant amount of volume, and after much consideration, we decided that crepe paper was the ideal material to bring her vision to life. The dry, textured nature of crepe paper, coupled with its slight roughness, proved to be the perfect choice for achieving the desired volume and structure in the skirts.
The unique qualities of the crepe paper added a touch of whimsy and creativity to the overall aesthetic, enhancing the visual impact of the display.
